Mengelilingi Sisi Barat Jawa dan Sumatera

Bulan Juli 2009, jadi bulan penuh jalan-jalan bagi saya. Bermula dari 8 hingga 13 Juli, ke Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Lalu 23 Juli ke Sumatera Barat dan Riau.

Untuk ke Jakarta, bersama keluarga. Malahan, sempat pula merasakan jalan ke Puncak hingga menuju Bandung. Kedua anak saya senang mendapatkan pemandangan yang sejuk. Melihat kebun teh, sawah, meskipun tak sempat turun ke kebun stawberry.

Sedangkan perjalanan ke Sumatera Barat dan Riau, hanya saya sendiri. Ini memanfaatkan perjalanan dinas. Setelah dinas selesai di Bukittinggi, saya melalu jalan darat menuju Pekanbaru, untuk ketemu orang tua.

Dan diakhir Juli, 29-30 Juli menyeberang ke Pulau Bintan menggunakan roro dari Pelabuhan Tanjungpunggur. Nah, di sini mobil yang biasa sehari-hari saya pakai di Batam, bisa ikut dibawa. Asyik juga terasa, bisa membawa mobil Batam menyebrang ke pulau lain.

Apa benang merah dari semua perjalanan saya itu? Kalau dikaitkan dengan politik dan pemerintahan, ternyata, meski berdekatan dengan ibu kota negara, banyak juga daerah di sana yang belum ''semakmur'' yang saya anggap. Karena perjalanan itu melewati jalan yang bukan tol, ketahuanlah, masih banyak juga jalan jelek di Jakarta, Banten dan Jabar. Bahkan banyak juga rumah penduduk yang tanpa penerangan listrik PLN.

Benang merah lain lagi? He..he..., seenak-enaknya kata orang Nasi Kapau di Pasar Lereng, Bukittinggi, bagi saya tetap lebih enak nasi kapau di rumah makan di belakang Masjid Agung Annur, Pekanbaru. He..he...

Karena jalan-jalan, banyak makan-makan, makanya, siap-siaplah berat badan bengkak nih.

Tugas pemimpin bukan untuk menguasai seseorang, melainkan menguasai dirinya sendiri. Macam kan betul saje....

Status di Facebook saya hari ini pukul 10.55 WIB: ''Tugas pemimpin bukan untuk menguasai seseorang, melainkan menguasai dirinya sendiri. Macam kan betul saje....'' Cepat dapat respon dari teman-teman. Ada yang langsung ''menjurus'', ada yang cukup mengklik gambar jempol saja.

Lebih dahsyat lagi, ada yang malah menguraikan sifat-sifat Allah di note Facebook-nya, tapi itu juga ''mengarah'' untuk statusnya. Sungguh, reaksi yang ''kejutan'' bagi saya. Apakah ini terkait, karena kita ingin mencari pemimpin baru negeri ini?

Bagi saya pribadi, status FB itu, hanyalah sekelebat pemikiran setelah ''melihat dan merasa'' apa yang terjadi di sekitar saya. Salah satunya saat kecewa dengan akhir film Ketika Cinta Bertasbih (KCB). Betapa tidak, KCB berakhir dengan tulisan ''to be continued...'' alias bersambung. Betapa ternyata lebih kapitalis, ''pengelola'' KCB ketimbang Ayat-ayat Cinta yang justru dianggap hanya ''memendekkan'' novel. Tapi KCB justu ''memanjangkan'' novel, dan kita dipaksa untuk nonton lagi berikutnya.

Hmm...tapi saya harus ''menguasai'' diri. Itulah haknya ''pengelola'' KCB. Dan saya juga, harus mengambil pelajaran dari isi film bagian pertama ini, yakni, kita harus menguasai kehendak sendiri. Dan kayaknya di bagian kedua film itu nanti, bagaimana sang suami menahan ''menguasai'' istrinya. hi..hi...

Di lingkungan lain, dunia kerja, hmm.... pemimpin kadang lupa, hanya di kantorlah mereka pemimpin. Di rumah lain lagi suasana yang dipimpinnya. Bisa jadi, malah dia tidak pempimpin di lungkungan RT nya. Karena ada Pak RT dan ketua komplek misalnya.

Bahkan saat lagi hangat capres sekarang, kita sudah melihat sendiri, bagaimana calon pemimpin kita itu rada susah ''menguasai'' dirinya sendiri. Yang digadang-gadang bakal pemenang dan disebut-sebut lebih kalem, justru juga ''menohok'' keras. he..he...

Jadinya, terpulang pada diri sendirilah. Termasuk saya sendiri, yang tiba-tiba punya kalimat; Tugas pemimpin bukan untuk menguasai seseorang, melainkan menguasai dirinya sendiri. Macam kan betul saje....he.he...
